Thomas Soxberger holds a PhD in Jewish Studies and History from Vienna University and an MA in Yiddish Studies from London University. He wrote his dissertation on modern Yiddish culture in Vienna, which was published as: Revolution am Donaukanal. Jiddische Kultur und Politik in Wien 1904 bis 1938 (Vienna: Mandelbaum Verlag 2013). He is also the author of a number of articles on Yiddish culture and literature and Jewish history and has published several translations from Yiddish into German. His findings on Yiddish printing in Vienna have resulted in the annotated bibliography: „Gründen wir einen jiddischen Verlag!“ Jiddische Bücher, Zeitschriften und Broschüren aus Wien. Eine kommentierte Bibliographie (Arco Wissenschaft, Wuppertal –Vienna 2025). Currently he works for the press service of the Austrian Parliament.
